After a lengthy illness Margaret Mary Sullivan passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022, in Mountain View, CA. She was born in Dunmanway, Ireland and was one of thirteen children born to John Buckley and Helen Hennessy Buckley. She moved to Birmingham, England, as a young woman to study nursing. There she met and married Timothy Joseph Sullivan and welcomed their daughter Maureen. In 1959 they moved to the US and lived in Huntington Park. In 1980 they moved to Downey. Margaret worked for many years as a ward clerk at Mission Hospital in Huntington Park. Her coworkers and colleagues there became a beloved second family. When she wasn’t working she loved to grow beautiful roses, spoil her grandchildren, spend time at the beach, and travel to England and Ireland to visit family. She was proceeded in death by her husband Timothy, who passed away in 2005. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Kravitz, son-in-law Dr. Kerry Kravitz, granddaughters Erin and Katherine, and great-granddaughters Hazel and Edie. She was laid to rest next to her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA. Her family would like to thank the kind and loving staff at Villa Siena Retirement Community in Mountain View, CA, for the excellent care she received during her time there.
