Lt. JG Patrick Nanson graduated as a Navy SEAL from the Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command in San Diego on June 10. He then attended Naval Language School in San Diego and passed competency tests in Farsi and French at the end of August. He reported for duty at the naval base in Norfolk, Virginia, on Sept. 15 and was promoted to Lieutenant JG the same day.
