DOWNEY - The Friends of the Downey City Library has received a "generous" collection of Civil War books.The books have been assembled on a book cart inside the store, located inside the library. Residents, particularly Civil War and history buffs, are encouraged to peruse the collection and possibly add them to their collection. The library is at 11121 Brookshire Ave.
