Dear Editor:

I happened to catch a comment made by Lee Woodfin published on July 17 where he states, "Only one out of five understands the Short Stories articles."

I was wondering if he took an official poll? If not maybe the problem is that he is the one who does not understand.

I’d like to thank editor Eric Pierce for publishing the many Short Stories submitted by the memoirs class at Norwalk Senior Center. Your attention and consideration is validating to the writers who share their joys and heartbreaks, for they are writing their legacies.

Some have asked why bear one's soul? I like to paraphrase a quote by Soren Kierkegaard, We live our lives forward; but we can only understand it backwards.
