Dear Editor: 

Concerning our immigration problem, here is a direct quote from the Bible: "When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the citizen as yourself." 

As the song goes, "What the world needs now is love," not hatred and bigotry. 

Please, God, soften our hearts and replace the hate with understanding, caring and compassion.
