Dear Editor: 

My husband and I would like to recognize and thank a woman who walks in the early morning hours along Downey Avenue near Alameda. This humble and selfless lady walks with a pick up stick picking up litter along her route each day.

I'm sure she has no idea that anyone even noticed her good deed but independent of one another we both had and we both say Thank You!

What a beautiful example of love thy neighbor.

To those who discard their garbage on our streets, in our neighborhoods and among parking spots in our shopping centers, please put your litter in its place. This beautiful lady deserves to take a walk without having to clean up after others. 

Each person should emulate the example and love this lady has for her neighborhood and her neighbors.
