Dear Editor:

June marks the third anniversary of the loss of Downey Civic Light Opera.

DCLO had survived for decades providing the local area with quality musical productions which were family friendly and affordable. Under the direction of Executive Producer Marsha Moode, along with her casts and crew, the whole was greater than the sum of the parts. A new level of community theater excellence had been achieved.

Shame on Downey City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Department, and especially VenueTech Management Company for each of their roles in forcing this fine organization out of existence.
