Dear Editor:

Last week Ms. Perez addressed the heartfelt loss of this community with the tragic slaying of Officer Galvez.  She addressed this very well.  

But to continue in her loss comparing this to Taco Bell being moved to another location was disgraceful and showed a lack of sensitivity to the people that knew him, worked with him and especially his family. I’m still shaking my head.  

Ms. Perez, In the future please reread your words making sure they convey the true message you had intended. Life needs to be prioritized; not a building, regardless of how historic it is.

It will take a long time for this community to heal, with the loss of Officer Galvez, not over the loss of Taco Bell.
