Dear Editor:

What am I in dire need of?

I am in dire need of a sidewalk on the east side of Bellman Avenue, from Florence to Cherokee in Downey, California.

Being 98 years old, in perfect health, both physical and mental, I am able to walk with a walker and ride on busses all over Downey, Paramount, South Gate, and Norwalk.

But from the beginning to the end, I must walk in the street (no sidewalk).  Where cars are parked at the curb, I must walk outside parked cars in the line of traffic.

This is complicated even more in semi-darkness.

Please help me. Get me a sidewalk, please.
