Dear Editor:

My wife and I moved to Downey when we got married almost 13 years ago. I have been wondering for years how come Downey does not have a city store like Bellflower.

We are proud to live in Downey and like many others would love to share our pride through t-shirts, coffee mugs, calendars, etc. There is no place to buy such items. Especially with the new Downey logo this would be a great time to start.

Are there any plans to open a city store? If there's any doubt put it on social media and Downey Patriot and see what type of support you get.

Oh, in the meantime, lucky for me I'm an artist I'll be making my home Downey t-shirts.
