DOWNEY - Students at the Rio San Gabriel Elementary YMCA program have been participating in the Blankets for Buddies program, collecting towels and blankets to benefit the animals at SEAACA.During this time of the year, animal cages can become very cold. Blankets and towels help bring comfort to the animals, organizers said. The kids are collecting blankets and donating them to SEAACA. A few children have even adopted pets with their families.
