NORWALK - More than 700 graduates received their diplomas when Cerritos College held its 53rd commencement ceremony last Saturday.Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe served as the commencement speaker. He encouraged the graduates to be hopeful and to "look forward to the new challenges life will present them." "Remember, success is not a destination but a continuing journey," Knabe said. The ceremony honored graduates who earned degrees or certificates during the 2009-10 academic year. Cerritos College, located in Norwalk, serves many local cities, including Downey.
