NORWALK - Cerritos College honored nearly 800 graduates during its 55th annual commencement ceremony last Saturday.The Cerritos College Board of Trustees and administration presented degrees and certificates earned during the 2011-12 academic year. More than 1,600 students are receiving degrees and certificates this year. Dr. Roz Rosen, director of the National Center of Deafness at Cal State Northridge, served as the commencement speaker and inspired graduates to embrace diversity and community. She also wished them success with their personal, career and community aspirations. "Your strong academic and personal preparation ensures a good journey through life after you graduate from Cerritos," Rosen said. "It will be your own journey to your own self. Your family, teachers and friends are cheering you on."
