When Apollo Park was closed last year for renovations, so too was the Downey Historical Society, which occupies a building on the park site next to the Dismukes House.

Well, good news: the history center announced it will reopen Thursday, Jan. 30.

Going forward, its hours of operations will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the third Saturday of every month.
