PARAMOUNT - Applications are now being accepted for Supervisor Don Knabe's Arts Education Partnership Program, which supports arts education programs by providing matching funds to non-profit organizations, community groups, government agencies and schools in the Fourth Supervisorial District, which includes Downey.The Arts Education Partnership Program will increase and sustain well-rounded education in dance, music, theater and the visual arts for K-12 students. Grant applications are judged by a panel of experts from the various arts disciplines. A workshop will be held Oct. 7 in Paramount for organizations wanting to learn more about the program. Visitors should register in advance at www.knabe.com. Grant applications must be postmarked no later than Nov. 5.
