DOWNEY - Downey Regional Medical Center raised more than $55,000 at the 24th Annual Golf Classic held May 4, hospital officials have announced.The money will benefit the hospital's cardiac catheterization laboratory. Jack Kennis, an emergency department physician at Downey Regional for more than 25 years, chaired the tournament, which was held at the Rio Hondo Golf Club. Twenty-eight sponsors supported the event, including CareMore, the tournament's grand sponsor for the second straight year.
