DOWNEY - George (Buster) Warren Royce passed away Jan. 13.He was born in Bell on Feb. 6, 1928 and lived in Downey for more than 50 years. He was a crane operator for more than 40 years. He married Marilyn in 1958 and had three children, Catherine (Fred) Goldberg, Ronald (Jennifer Kimball) and Elizabeth; and two grandchildren, Cari Dunlop and Stephanie Royce. He also leaves behind one brother, Art; two sisters, Dorothy and Peggy; and many nieces and nephews. Royce was an avid hunter and fisher, and was a regular at the duck club. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Memorial services with full military honors and internment were held at Rose Hills Mortuary on Jan. 20.
