DOWNEY -- The Gallatin Elementary School Student Council recently sponsored a "Coins That Care" drive, and in just four days of collecting surpassed their goal of $1,500.Students presented a check for $1,588.71 to the TLC Family Resource Center, a program of the Downey Unified School District that provides free medical, dental, vision, and counseling services, along with food and clothing, to needy Downey families.
