Seaman Elijah Ragbir graduated from basic training July 15 at Cape May, N.J. with the U.S. Coast Guard. Ragbir completed an intensive program which included training in academics, uniform code of justice, history of the Coast Guard and core values, small arms training, seamanship techniques and tactics, firefighting, weapons, aquatics and physical fitness. Ragbir also received company recognition as the Chief Petty Religious Officer for his unit Foxtrot. He was recently deployed to Alaska on his first assignment and will be continuing his higher education.
