DOWNEY – Downey Unified School District will be hosting an event for business and industry
leaders at the Columbia Memorial Space Center on March 3.

The event will be an opportunity for businesses to meet their future workforce and learn how they could create a stronger Downey community. This event will take place 5-6:30 p.m.

“We invite employers from all business sectors to learn about opportunities in shaping the future
of Downey’s globally competitive workforce,” DUSD officials said. “Our economy depends on the
strength and skills of our current and future workforce. MADE by Downey Unified is an  educational strategy for providing young people with the academic, technical, and employability skills and knowledge to pursue post secondary training or higher education.”
