DOWNEY – Downey United Football Club (DUFC), a cornerstone of the local soccer community, is making strides with its growing roster of over 300 players, ranging from U7 to U19. Currently fielding 20 competitive teams, the club is a participant in the SOCAL Soccer League and the National Premier League (NPL), under the umbrella of US Club Soccer.

DUFC’s commitment to excellence is evident in its impressive achievements, including players being scouted for the SOCAL Player Development Program (PDP) and receiving invitations to soccer academy trials. Beyond the pitch, DUFC prioritizes coach education, regularly hosting U.S. Soccer coaching licensing programs.

The club’s mission is to positively impact the development of youth in Downey through soccer and life-enriching opportunities, fostering a lifelong passion for the sport. With an emphasis on good sportsmanship, competition, and personal growth, DUFC aims to elevate the level of soccer in the city while empowering players and coaches to achieve their full potential.
