DOWNEY — The Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center has frozen meals available for senior citizens at no cost.

Distribution will begin Wednesday. Seniors can call (562) 862-8800 to reserve a time to receive up to five frozen meals at once.

Downey’s Transportation Department can provide free transportation to the senior center and back home between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The phone number to Downey LINK is (562) 529-5465.

The meals are provided by the Los Angeles County Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services.
