A Downey teen recently released her new single, with new music already on the way.

You may already know 15-year-old Analise Hoveyda; she’s performed locally in productions, events and competitions. She was even a Little Miss Downey Princess. The soon-to-be junior is also a part of the Warren High School Choir.

“Ever since I was 3 years old, that’s when I started singing,” said Analise. “I started in musicals when I was 6 years old…Ever since then I just really loved the acting, and theatre, and singing at the same time.”

It was soon after that Analise got into performing, including on the Downey Civic Theatre Stage.

“That’s how I got my start,” she said.

Now with a manager, Analise has auditioned for and been cast in several productions on both the big and silver screens, including a role as a bully in Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time” and in a spot on Nickelodeon’s teen comedy “Sam and Kat.”

However, her true love is in singing.

“I love both, but I think singing is more my passion,” said Analise. Her passion and drive has led to the release of a new single called “Aftertaste.”

“I released it a few months ago. I have a music video with it too on YouTube,” said Analise. “The song is about I fell in love with this boy, then he cheats on me, and it’s hard for me to forget about him.”

She says her fans “love it.”

“[My genre] is really fun, and pop, kind of soul,” said Analise. “It’s really fun; you can dance to it.”

Her next single, called “Breakaway,” is coming out in a few months, though she’s keeping details on it close to the chest.

“You’re going to have to find out when it comes out,” she teased.

She hopes to one day perform with the likes of Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, and Demi Lovato. The ultimate goal, however, is one many reach for but few attain.

“One goal I’ve had my entire life is to win a Grammy,” said Analise. “That has always been my one goal. I just want to be successful in music, because I love music so much.”
