DOWNEY – Children ages 6-12 can participate in the city of Downey’s “Spring Spectacular” drop-in program at participating Downey parks during spring break, April 6-10. The program operates from 12-5 p.m. with several outdoor activities per day, the first beginning at 12:30 p.m. Activities include art, lunch with the leaders (bring your own lunch), tag, dodgeball and crafts.

Participating parks include Apollo, Brookshire, Dennis the Menace, Furman, Golden and Rio San Gabriel. At Brookshire Park, the program will operate from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The program is free but registration is required. Registration can be completed at the parks listed above starting April 6 at 12:30 p.m.
