Members of the Downey Bocce Club officiated the first annual Vince Ferragamo Celebrity Bocce Tournament and Auction fundraiser in Irvine on Sept. 27 at the request of the former Rams quarterback himself. The fundraiser was in support of the Leathereby Italian Heritage Studies Program and Italian Archival Center at Chapman University. Ferragamo owns and operates Touchdown Real Estate and Ferragamo-Migneco Vineyards, and raises money for several non-profits, including the Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House.
