The Downey Bocce Club's Downey 1 team - consisting of Amadio Egizii, Miguel Tamagno, John Fiorenza and Pat Limatola, captured first place April 15 at the commencement of the 2012 Southern California bocce tournament season. Another Downey team, Snafu, won third place with members Rick Dine, Joe Dine, George Castagna and Alfonso Di Palma. The tournament featured 14 teams and was held at the Barbara J.
