Downey attorney Ricardo Perez added to MABA PAC board of director

DOWNEY -- The Mexican-American Bar Association (MABA) PAC recently voted to add Downey attorney Ricardo Perez to its board of directors.

Ricardo Perez

MABA PAC is one of the most influential Latino organizations in California whose members are attorneys, civic leaders and business people from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Its mission supports diversity in the executive, judicial and legislative branches of government and especially in the legal profession.

It supports candidates and ballot propositions that advance the needs of the community in the areas of public policy, political, social and economic empowerment.

The MABA PAC Board of Directors is led by two attorneys who serve as co-presidents: Felipe Plascencia, a nationally renowned criminal defense attorney, and Mario Trujillo, deputy district attorney for the Office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney and owner/operator of the local Barriles RestoBar (in partnership with Downey Councilmember Fernando Vasquez).

Perez, who is a civil attorney and is heavily involved in community work, stated: "I thank my colleagues on the Board for entrusting me with this position.  In light of the June and November judicial elections, I look forward to continuing the great work ahead us in the MABA PAC."
