DOWNEY - A shooting involving the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has shut down a portion of South Downey this morning.A deputy fired at a male Hispanic adult at about 3:15 a.m. near Airpoint Avenue and Gardendale Street in Downey. Neither the suspect nor the deputy was injured, sheriff's officials said. It was unclear if any arrests were made. Sheriff's internal affairs investigators were on scene this morning. Several streets were closed as a result of the investigation.
