DOWNEY - A shooting involving the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department shut down a portion of South Downey early Monday morning.A deputy fired at a male Hispanic adult at about 3:15 a.m. near Airpoint Avenue and Gardendale Street in Downey. Neither the suspect nor the deputy was injured, sheriff's officials said. It was unclear if any arrests were made. Officials from the sheriff's internal affairs were on scene. Several streets were closed as a result of the investigation.
