Dear Editor: Thank you to the Downey Patriot for publishing a photo gallery on Facebook showing the current dilapidated condition of the auto dealership on Florence and Studebaker. I drive past that property daily.

Regardless of the property’s architectural significance (if any), it never should have fallen into such disrepair.

If need be, city crews should go in there and fix up the mess, and then send a big, fat bill to the property owner.
