On 7/25/2023 at 7:30 am, officers responded to the area of Lindsay Ave and Brookpark Rd regarding a suspect vandalizing a parking enforcement truck. Officers determined the suspect had broken off parts of the parking truck with his hands and fled the scene. Officers located the suspect and he was arrested.

On 7/26/2023 at 11:35 am, officers observed a vehicle wanted in a carjacking being driven in the area of Paramount Blvd and Firestone Blvd. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the subjects inside for investigation. The police agency conducting the investigation into the robbery responded and took custody of the vehicle and subjects.

On 7/26/2023 at 5:30 pm, officers responded to the area of Lakewood Blvd and the I-105 Freeway regarding a shooting. Officers determined a road rage incident occurred where one driver shot at the other driver. The suspect was located nearby and later arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

On 7/28/2023 at 7:55 pm, officers responded to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall regarding a disturbance inside of the facility. Once on scene it was discovered several of the juveniles in custody were causing a disturbance in at least two of the buildings on the campus. Downey officers assisted the Probation Department in securing the facility. The LA County Probation Department will be handling the investigation into any crimes committed inside of the facility.

On 7/29/2023 at 11:40 pm, officers responded to the area of 8500 Boyson St regarding a burglary of an occupied residence in progress. Officers arrived and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was located hiding nearby and was arrested for burglary.

On 7/31/2023 at 7:35 pm, officers responded to the area of 7400 Florence Ave regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was involved in a fight with the suspect and later discovered he had been stabbed several times. The victim responded to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. Detectives are investigating.

On 8/1/2023 at 12:35 am, officers responded to the area of 13407 Lakewood Blvd regarding gunshots being heard. Officers contacted a person in the area who stated he had fired shots into the air because someone was trying to kill him. Detectives are investigating.

On 8/6/2023 at 8:40 pm, officers responded to the area 9000 Apollo Wy regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers determined the suspect had attempted to stab the victim after having an argument inside of a vehicle and fled the scene. The victim and suspect were in a dating relationship. Detectives are investigating.

On 8/6/2023 at 10:30 pm, officers responded to the intersection of Lakewood Blvd and Gallatin Rd regarding a hit and run traffic collision. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the area, which fled the scene, and determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for hit and run and driving under the influence.

On 8/8/2023 at 2:10 am, officers responded to the area of 12000 Paramount Blvd regarding a robbery. The victim stated 2 suspects approached him and brandished a knife at him. The suspects stole items from the victim and fled the scene on foot. Detectives are investigating.

On 8/8/2023 at 6 pm, officers responded to the area of Firestone Blvd and Myrtle St regarding a grand theft auto in progress. The victim stated they interrupted the suspect as he attempted to steal the victim’s vehicle. The suspect brandished a knife to try and get the keys to the vehicle, but fled the scene after he was unsuccessful. The suspect was located nearby and later arrested for attempted robbery.

On 8/12/2023 at 5:30 pm, officers responded to the area of 10400 Paramount Blvd regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect had cut the victim’s fingers with a knife. The suspect was located in the area and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

On 8/13/2023 at 6 am, officers responded to the area of Imperial Hwy and Woodruff Ave regarding an armed robbery. While responding, officers observed the vehicle used in the robbery occupied by people who matched the suspects’ description. The suspects were detained and later connected to several robberies that had also occurred in Norwalk, earlier in the night. A firearm was also located with the suspects. The suspects were arrested.
