Crime Report: 4/28/21

•Detectives are investigating a strong arm robbery that occurred on 4/13/2021 at about 3:20 pm at 8535 Firestone Blvd. (Warehouse Shoe Sales). Two suspects entered the store and concealed store items on their person. As they exited the store with the loss, a store employee confronted them and asked that they return the loss. One of the suspects stated he had a gun but never brandished it. The suspects then fled in a vehicle. The victim was able to obtain a license plate number.

•On 4/16/2021 at approximately 12:30 am, officers responded to a radio call of a male who was seen exiting a waiting vehicle and crawling under a parked vehicle near Arnett St. and Old River School Rd. The caller could hear the sound of a drill coming from under the vehicle. Officers arrived and detained the male and waiting vehicle. There was an additional male and female detained in the vehicle. The catalytic converter was cut from the victim's vehicle. All three adult suspects were arrested. Detectives responded for follow up investigation. 

•On 4/18/2021 at approximately 4 am, officers responded to the 12200 block of Dolan Ave regarding a shooting.The adult male caller stated he was at his elderly father's residence when his father and brother began arguing in the front yard. The elderly male retrieved a revolver from inside the residence and confronted the victim in the front yard with it. The suspect pointed the firearm at the victim, pulled the trigger and heard it click. The elderly male then pointed the gun at the grass and fired a shot into the ground. Both the caller and his brother left the location. Officers went to the residence and called the elderly suspect, who exited the residence. The elderly male said he inadvertently fired a round from his revolver into the ground and then put the gun in a drawer in his residence. The revolver and a rifle were recovered from inside the residence. The elderly male suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
