On 2/10/2020 at approximately 6 a.m., an adult female victim, a Downey resident, was walking in the area of 7th Ave/La Reina. She was approached by 2 unknown females who demanded her phone and purse. The victim attempted to walk away and one of the suspects grabbed her jacket, pulled the victim to the ground and both suspects assaulted her. During the assault, the suspects took the victim's identification and debit card. The victim sustained minor injuries. Detectives are investigating.

On 2/10/2020 at approximately 10 a.m., traffic collision officers responded to the area of Rives Ave. and Stewart & Gray Rd. regarding a traffic collision. The female driver had collided with a parked vehicle. As officers arrived, the female was leaving the scene in her vehicle. She stopped her vehicle about half a mile away as officers contacted her. It was determined that she had suffered a medical condition.

On 2/11/2020 at approximately 7:20 a.m., officers responded to Lewis Elementary School regarding a burglary. Video surveillance shows that on Saturday morning around 1 am, two suspects broke into the computer lab at the school and took 15 tablet devices. Loss is estimated at $4,900. Detectives are investigating.

On 2/14/2020 at approximately 8 p.m., a male came to the station to report his wife had taken their 2 children and left the state. The female initially told officers she was in Orange County but then admitted to being out of the state. An out of state police agency contacted and confirmed children were at the location and the children were fine. Detectives are investigating the incident

On 2/15/2020 at approximately 2:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 7100 block of Adwen regarding an 18-year-old male that had been shot. Responding officers found an uncooperative male with a single gunshot wound to his hand. The victim's injuries were minor and not life-threatening. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and cameras. Detectives are investigating the incident.

On 2/16/2020 at approximately 4 a.m., the 25-year-old victim was drinking and in the courtyard of his apartment complex in the 10000 block of Imperial Hwy. He observed his girlfriend kissing another male (suspect) and confronted them. The victim and suspect were involved in a fight and the victim fell on the ground. While on the ground, the suspect retrieved the victim's car and house keys from his pocket and fled in a vehicle. The victim's girlfriend denied the incident occurred and did not acknowledge kissing another male. Detectives are investigating this incident.
