On Jan. 20 at 2:20 am, officers were dispatched to the area of Imperial Hwy. and Columbia Way regarding a traffic collision with injuries. Upon officers’ arrival they determined it was a single-car traffic collision which collided into a light pole. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries. The driver was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The Traffic Unit is investigating.

On Jan. 20 at 9:15 pm, officers were dispatched to Home Depot, 7121 Firestone Blvd regarding a robbery. The suspect entered Home Depot and selected various tools. The suspect then exited the store without paying. When confronted by Loss Prevention Officers, the suspect assaulted them. The suspect then fled the scene. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On Jan. 20, at 9:45 pm, officers were dispatched to 8201 2nd St regarding a disturbance. The victims were standing around their vehicle when the suspects arrived. A verbal altercation ensued and the suspects pointed a firearm at the victims. The suspects then fled the location. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle and the suspects were arrested. A loaded firearm was located in the vehicle.

On Jan. 21, at 4:05 am, officers were dispatched to the Downey Inn, 11510 Lakewood Blvd regarding an assault. A male was observed assaulting a female. Officers checked the hotel and located a male matching the description. The male was cooperative and gave officers permission to check his hotel room. Officers found the victim who sustained injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The suspect was arrested and the Detective Bureau responded to continue the investigation.
