Saturday, Sept. 29At 1:50 a.m., Officers responded to the 12600 block of Woodruff Avenue regarding a possible shooting investigation. When Officers arrived they discovered a victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives are investigating anyone with information is asked to call the Downey Police Department.

Sunday, Sept. 30 In the evening hours Downey Police Officers stopped 2 subjects in the area of Elm Vista Drive and Bellflower Blvd. After speaking with the subjects officers located a stolen lap top computer. The subject admitted to stealing the computer from Warren High School earlier in the evening. The subject was booked for Burglary. Detectives are investigating.
