DOWNEY - A country barbecue to benefit the Downey Symphony Orchestra and its Music in the Schools program will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Rio Hondo Event Center.The community is invited to share the festivities, including a buffet, prizes, opportunity tickets and line dancing. Admission is $22 for adults (if paid in advance) and $12 for children ages 4-11. Adult tickets are $25 if purchased at the door.
