COMPTON - A Compton High School math teacher alleged to have sexually abused three female students was charged in a felony criminal complaint filed Monday by the District Attorney's office.Nicolei Hurtado Ocana, 28, was arraigned Wednesday in Compton Superior Court. Ocana is charged with two counts of lewd acts upon a child, two counts of sexual contact with a minor, one count each of oral copulation of a person under 18, and a misdemeanor charge of molesting a child. According to the criminal complaint, the offenses took place at the school on various dates between Sept. 1, 2008, and April 21, 2010. One victim was 15 years old and the two others were 16 at the time of the alleged offenses. Ocana was arrested May 7 by investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau. He is being held on $390,000 bail. If convicted as charged, he faces a maximum term of six years in state prison.
