'Cloud Tectonics' opens June 9 at Long Beach Playhouse
LONG BEACH - In "Cloud Tectonics," the latest production by the Long Beach Playhouse, a hitchhiking pregnant woman and two brothers explore relationships "where time is not linear and anything is possible."The story begins on a rainy night in Los Angeles as a plain Joe named Anibal De la Luna picks up and brings home a poor, bedraggled hitchhiker named Celestina del Sol. Celestina is 54 and has been pregnant for two years. Alone in his little house, sealed off the wails of the city outside, De la Luna (the moon) and del Sol (the sun) come together, joining their bodies and their dreams. The production is directed by Olivia Trevino. "Cloud Tectonics" opens June 9. Tickets are $24 for adults, $21 for seniors and $14 for students. Tickets are available online at lbplayhouse.org or by calling (562) 494-1014.
