Cleo Latimer, holding plaque, has been awarded lifetime membership in the Friends of the Downey City Library in recognition of her almost 30 years of volunteer service. Latimer has held various positions on the Friends board since 1982, including secretary, program chair, vice president and president twice (1988-1990 and 2006-10).
