DOWNEY - Financial Peace University (FPU), a 13-week program taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey, will be offered at the Lord's Grace Church in Downey beginning July 11.The program consists of 13 lessons taught by Ramsey on DVD. After each lesson the group meets to help each other plan budgets, discuss successes and temptations, and support each other in their quest to beat debt and build wealth. Topics include saving for emergencies, budgeting, buying big bargains, getting out of debt, understanding investments and insurance, retirement and college planning, real estate mortgages, careers and extra jobs, and more.
