Cheryl Humenski died peacefully March 21 at home in Downey at the age of 60.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Kenneth Humenski; son, Steven Humenski; and sister, Deborah Murphy (Michael). She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Shirley Potter.

Cheryl was born on April 14, 1956 in Lynwood. She graduated from Warren High School in 1974.

She married Kenneth in 1978. She worked as a cost accountant until the birth of her son, in 1984. 

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 31, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Miller-Mies Mortuary in Downey. A celebration of Cheryl's life is scheduled for April 1 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Downey with a reception to follow.
