NORWALK – Cerritos College is featured in the Amazon Prime series “The College Tour” and will host a blue carpet premiere event on Sept. 19 in its new Performing Arts Center.

The episode is set to air on Amazon Prime in October.

Created by multi-award-winning producers and hosted by “The Amazing Race” season 2 winner Alex Boylan, “The College Tour” allows students and families to tour colleges from anywhere in the world. This series showcases the college and university experience from the perspective of their current students.

In the episode, audiences will hear the stories of 10 Cerritos College students who share their experiences about the college’s student-centered approach, award-winning programs, incredible support services, and more.

“We are excited for this opportunity to show what our student-centered campus is all about,” said Cerritos College president and superintendent Dr. Jose Fierro. “Our 10 students did an excellent job telling their stories and bringing a personal touch to the college’s programs and resources.

“I was given a sneak peek of the episode, and one thing that is very clear is that Cerritos College employees foster a campus that is incredibly supportive and driven by student achievement. I am proud of our students and look forward to seeing them and our guests during the blue carpet premiere.”

The blue carpet premiere will feature a special showing of the episode and a Q&A panel with our featured students, followed by a reception. Festivities begin at 5:30 pm.
