DOWNEY - The Warren High School band department will hold a car wash today from 4-7 p.m. to raise money for the family of Alex Ceja, a former student who passed away recently.Ceja, 18, graduated from Warren in 2008 where he participated in the school's marching, pep, jazz and concert bands, in addition to the wind ensemble. Students will also conduct a yard sale tomorrow from 6 a.m. to noon. Proceeds from the car wash and sale will be donated to Ceja's family to assist with their recent funeral and hospital expenses. Downey High School will host the car wash along the bus lane at Brookshire Avenue from 4-7 p.m. Cars are $5 and trucks/SUVs are $8. The yard sale will be at 9916 Downey Ave., north of Florence Avenue.
