September 6, 1951 - July 25, 2018

Calvin David “Dave” Chappell, 66, was born on September 6, 1951 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and entered into Heaven on July 25, 2018 in Long Beach, CA.

Dave was an engineer in the aerospace industry for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and earned an Honorable Discharge for his years bravely fighting for our freedom.

Dave leaves behind his loving family: Wife, Kathleen Chappell, Son, Patrick Webb, Daughter, Wendy Webb Glenn (Stevo), Daughter-in-law, Stephanie Davis Chappell (Jason’s widow), former Daughter-in-law, Gretchen Valdivia, his Grandchildren, P.J. Webb, Faith Webb, Skylar Webb, Abbygail Webb, Destenee Webb, Cassandra Haywood, Robert (Kate) Steadward, Tiffany Lockman, Katie (Rick) Moore, Brittany Claire, Michael Lakatos, Melony (Tony) Macias and Ashley (Ryan) Smith.  He is also survived by 12 Great-Grandchildren, Brother, Steven R Chappell, Sister, Louise Chappell (John) Cromarty and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dave was met at Heaven’s gate by his loving Son, Jason Kristopher Chappell who was Killed in Action in Iraq in 2004, his Brother, Richard Chappell, his Great-Granddaughter, Brinley Moore, all who preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00AM at Calvary Chapel Downey and interment will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 12:45PM at Riverside National Cemetery. The Patriot Guard Riders will escort our Veteran to the cemetery.
