DOWNEY – The Friends of the Downey City Library is taking a bus to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, which takes place Saturday, April 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bus will pick up passengers outside the library. Cost is $5.

Passengers should take a sack lunch or lunch money, and must sign a liability waiver before boarding the bus.

Registration can be paid at the Friends’ Bookstore located inside the library.

The Festival of Books features author forums, live readings and music, art and photography, live poetry, culinary creations, and more.
