SAN PEDRO - "In My Life - A Musical Theatre Tribute to the Beatles", an award-winning musical biography of the Beatles told through the eyes of manager Brian Epstein and featuring live music from tribute band Abbey Road, will play a one-night show Aug. 26 at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro.Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com or by calling (800) 838-3006. "In My Life" gives the audience a chance to "be there" at pivotal moments in the career of the Beatles: Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club, "The Ed Sullivan Show," Shea Stadium, Abbey Road Studios and the final live performance on the rooftop of their Apple Corp offices. The show premiered to sold-out audiences in April 28 at a small Orange County theatre and a number of nights were added to keep up with demand. The production now tours nationally in regional theaters, including a sold out performance last March at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. In January 2010, the show drew the largest crowd in eight years at the Warner Grand. The four musicians/actors cast to play John, Paul, George and Ringo were selected from 120 Beatle tribute musicians, most of whom showed up for auditions in costume and in character. The band features Benny Chadwick ("Paul"), Tyson Kelly ("John"), Robert Bielma ("George") and Axel Clarke ("Ringo").
