DOWNEY - Poet Dr. Tiffanie Tate Moore will be at the Downey City Library this Saturday, April 23, to discuss her latest book of poetry, “FloweTry.” 

Originally from Compton, Moore is a Lynwood High School graduate, U.S. Navy veteran and an OB/GYN who now resides in the Inland Empire. 

Her struggle and experience with loss inspired her to write “FloweTry” (rhymes with poetry). The book will be available for purchase at the library.

Moore’s talk is from 1-3 pm in the library’s McCormack Room.
