DOWNEY - The Downey City Library's silent auction items for the month of April are now available for viewing in the library's foyer.Items include "The Sonnets" by William Shakespeare, richly illustrated throughout by Charles Robinson; "The Seasons Observed," photographed by Evelyn H. Lauder, are natural landscapes documented in diverse settings such as Aspen, Florida, Hawaii, the Hudson River, Bali and the Caribbean; "Treasures of the Old West" by Peter H. Hassrick, sculptures and paintings from the Thomas Guilcrease Institute of American History and Art tell the story of an untamed West and untamed people. Bids are due by tomorrow at noon.
