Attorney Mark Geragos buys SoCal magazines

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles magazine has been purchased by a media company founded by attorney Mark Geragos along with Orange Coast and Pasadena magazines, the purchasers announced Monday.

Los Angeles-based Engine Vision Media announced it will immediately take over operations, retain all the existing staff including the publisher and editors and move the headquarters of Los Angeles magazine to the Engine Company No. 28 building in downtown Los Angeles.

The company will continue to have an office in Irvine as it expands its Orange County presence with Orange Coast, Geragos said.

Engine Vision plans to invest in more content, significantly enhance Los Angeles magazine's digital presence, expand the slate of live events hosted by the magazines in their communities and produce varied multimedia offerings, Geragos said.
