Arc dedicates new banquet, conference center

The Arc Los Angeles and Orange Counties, the nonprofit organization that serves hundreds of people with developmental disabilities, dedicated its Reagan Banquet and Conference Center earlier this month. The center was named after Downey residents Bennie and Ann Reagan, "an amazing couple who dedicated their lives to giving back to so many deserving non-profits, including The Arc," said Arc executive director Kevin MacDonald. Bennie and Ann passed away on the same weekend in 2007. The banquet and conference center is located on the Arc campus at 9545 Washburn Rd. It serves Arc participants during the day for lunch and breaks, and also serves as a food service training program. At nights and weekends, the Reagan Center is open to the public for banquets, conferences, receptions and more. "When you rent out these first class facilities you will not only have a memorable event but you will also be supporting The Arc," said MacDonald. "We invite you to come and experience the supremely personalized care and service that we provide in this modern and elegant banquet and conference center." For rental information, call the banquet coordinator at (562) 803-4606, ext. 262, or go to TheReagan.org.
